Pool Project Update for October
Posted on Oct 26th, 2020
All Surfside Owners,
As we near the end of October I wanted to update everyone on status of our pool project. The pool has been stripped of all old surfaces and resurfaced. We have new steps into the shallow end that have been lowered for easier access. The pool is filled and nearly ready to go. We also have a new energy efficient, quieter, variable speed pump. We are waiting on the new railing that goes on the new steps that is expected this coming week. We then will get the city out to inspect and close the permit.
The deck has been expanded and repaved, and looks awesome! The walls have all been repainted. The new paths to the gulf right outside the north and south pool gates are both done. We also replaced the sidewalks that run from the new fences behind 101 and 301 to the gulf with the same deck pavers. Also looks great! We are waiting on the city to close the deck permit this week also.
The glass fence on the seawall is delayed. We are waiting on engineering information that the city needs. Carter Fence is working on this. We expect timeline for installation to be late November. We have a temporary fence up now which should allow for pool and deck to reopen once permits for pool and deck are closed.
We also ordered new pool furniture which is scheduled to arrive mid-November. With the new deck we are not drilling holes for the umbrellas. We have ordered heavy umbrella stands. Until they arrive we prefer no use of umbrellas so they don’t get damaged or damage the pavers.
We are close. I will update you again if we have any unexpected delays. Hopefully you don’t hear from me and are swimming in the pool and sitting on the deck before Nov.
See everyone soon,
